Hello sweeties how are you?
We ae at the begining of the new year and looking back on 2015, there were quite a few makeup trends that I loved. Here are a few:
Everybody has been obsessing over it, using creme contouring palletes to achieve sculptured cheek bones, narrow noses and overall transforming their face shape. But there are ways to overdo it, using to harsh shades can leave your face muddy or masky. You have to remember, that dark contour is there to mimic shadows and it’s important to blend the product well, so it looks somehow natural. Also when using creme product set it!
- Natural looking brows
I’m so happy that women are growing their eyebrows out. Bushier eyebrows are in becouse of stars like Cara Delevingne. And by natural I don’t mean not filling them in. They are filled in, but the front of the brow is filled in lightly for a natural look. The tail is more defined, but still not exaggerated. By soft short strokes you mimic brow hair. Of couse different face shape suits different brow shape.
- Dark matte lips
I have been loving dark lipstick in general, but I thing matte lipsticks are the best, becouse they look extremely elegant and beautiful. Vampy lips were a big hit in the autumn but I love the trend all year around. The problem is that sometimes it’s hard to find a matte lipstick that doesn’t dry out your lips.
- Highlighting with powder
I personally like a really strong, almost wet looking highlight on the top of the cheekbone and above the brow. It gives such a beautiful glow to the skin, it looks more radiant and healthy. I also love that when using a good highlighter, when you move your head around, it catches the light perfectly.
- Mettalic eyeshadows
It doesn’t matter which colour it is, metallic shadow always looks trendy and bold. It reflects the light beautifully and ads a little bit of glam to every eye look.I personally love the gold, silver and green look best.
- Dewy skin
More and more people are using dewy foundation to achieve a glowy, healthy looking skin insted of matte foundations. It can be quite tricky for people with oily skin, but for people with dry skin this is perfect.
There are just a few, and I’m looking forward to 2016 fo new exciting trends. I think this year will be the year of colour as well as more natural makeup. we shall see!!Hope you are having a great begining of the new year. Sending you all my love,
